John Levitt is a seasoned professional with more than 40 years experience and knowledge that spans both traditional as well as alternative investments; portfolio management as well as business management.   He has held senior management positions in both institutional and privately-held asset management organizations and has expertise in portfolio and risk management, manager and operational due diligence and compliance, legal, finance, operational and IT infrastructure needs. In addition, he has deep experience in equity-derivative and fixed-income trading, portfolio system design, and new product development. He has been a speaker at numerous global conferences and symposia on topics related to alternative investment management and has written on a variety of investment-related topics, including the structuring and statistical analysis of multi-manager portfolios.

He is currently a board director/advisor at a number of US and European funds and companies , in industries ranging from investment management to biotechnology to animation.
